The Teams

Sandy Run Boathouse is home to George Mason University Crew Club and Women’s Rowing, Occoquan Boat Club, as well as High School and Youth Developmental programs in the Northern Virginia Area.

Prince William Oxford Boathouse serves as another launching sight for rowers and holds shells for other local school and adult programs. There are 3 equipped marinas, which are rental facilities for watercrafts, all managed by NVRPA.

The Grounds

Located 25 miles from both DCA and IAD airports

Open space for vendors, food trucks, spectators. The Spring and Summer seasons offer a fully buoyed 6 lane race course. Hiking trail to the grandstands managed by the park. ADA accessible road from the boathouse parking lot to the grandstands and finish tower.

The Water

The Occoquan Reservoir contains 18km of pristine rowable water. ~ 2,100-acre dammed reservoir serves as drinking water for much of Northern VA, and harbors important wildlife and biodiversity.
